| C84 I voted for ENTP. I totally didn't pick it because I, myself am one, oh no. why would you ever think that. I'd definitely go for an ENT_, E for the social skills needed for leadership. N over S, because in this age where technology is rapidly changing society and some of us are still sticking to old values at the cost of human rights, we need someone to be actively thinking about the future to consider and invest in useful possibilities. Which no one is doing to an adequate level. T over F, logical decisions are crucial. I'm on the fence for J or P, J would be helpful to get actions done and command leadership, with the responsibility and structure and all that. But I still like think that P would be more open minded and adaptable to change, where a J would rely on structure and stability. Change will be happening to a lot of things in this century, so adaptability would be great. Though I think a P would pose the risk of not getting things done, which is where a micro-managing partner would be needed to become extremely effective. If an ENTP were the president, together with an INTJ vice president to be kept on track, I think it'd turn out pretty good. I think ENTJs would be pretty good too, the whole effective leadership thing. Though imagine if humankind stopped trying desperately to annihilate each other and started to work together. I'd love for a president that can inspire that kind of change in mindset, rather than waiting idly in a set to boil kettle, the inspiration for people to empower themselves. That'd be what I consider an ideal. This is already embarrassingly long for a simple comment on a poll, so I am going to stop right now before my rambling ideas makes me write even more. -- Anonymous |
| C85 I was rather confounded by the choice between INTjs and ENFjs, but I went for my ethical-feeling cousins. An ENFj would be charming and liberal and would be able to cultivate favourable relations with his contemporaries in foreign lands as well. He'd be unlikely to impose a dictatorship too-which is more than can be said about INTjs. While INTjs are excellent decision-makers, they are unfortunately ruthless and have less-than-ideal regard for other people's opinions. All in all, I prefer ENFjs to INTjs in this matter. ~An ENFp -- Aditya |
| C86 We need a [Keirsey Temperament] Rational innovative-thinking NT type to best/most objectively deal with all the tough decisions that need to be made. You need someone tough-minded (Tj's) & thick-skinned to deal with all the power playing that I imagine goes on in Politics. (The power & responsibility of leading the Nation is NOT for the more feint of heart F's.) Someone who naturally can/will stick to goals (j's). Lastly, and maybe most importantly, we need, as a political leader, to balance that sort of tough-decision will power approach with a certain finesse and/or diplomacy in dealing with other leaders, the masses, and all the inevitable PR. (E's are better/more natural at this than I's; that much more so when comparing the charisma & social intelligence of an ENTj vs an INTj). INTj's, however, I believe, would make the best Cabinet/Adviser 'accomplices' to complement & create/implement the types of global Plans behind the scenes (where the INTj would rather 'lead' from anyways) that the ENTJ leader would strongly be able to convince others in the House to have executed. -- Soc INTj, MBTI INTP, SLOAN rcoei, Enne 5w4 |

| C88 INTJ may have the strategic skills to lead efficiently but lack the shared values of Fe function which is likely to turn out as a very efficient dictatorship. | C94 Have we even ever had an NF president? Anyway, it seems somewhat irrelevant as the system continues to degrade. "I wish we could all get along like we used to in middle school. I wish I could bake a cake filled with rainbows and smiles and everyone would eat and be happy." But for real though, I'd like to see NF and TJ types work together. S-types are better at making practical decisions after a lot of consideration and analysis by NF and NT types, imo. Without the S-types, we might never get much done quickly enough. But too much S, too many money making schemes without actually taking care of people. But yeah C33, sorry SF types are a bit too hasty, relying too much on their own small well of experience and what's in front of them. Sometimes good intentions and lack of deep analysis can make it all for naught. But I believe that everyone should play role in running the country. The current system just doesn't work for that and you have all these ST types saying this is the best we've got pushing some Milton Friedman bs. -- Sassy INFP |
