Default Socionics Website

What you think of this website?

http://www.dual.su/en/

It seems to have type descriptions as well hints and tips about how to successfully approach your dual.

(from http://www.dual.su/en/category/dualn.../geksli-gaben/)

Gabin (ISTp), artistic image: Shrek (from the animated film "Shrek")

OMG! I was thinking Shrek was a perfect example of an ISTp last night, and then the website you posted had included him... I AM getting better at this socionics stuff.

He probably appears quite extrovert, especially in the sequels of the first film. But I also think Shrek is rather introvert, since he just wanted to live a quiet live in his swamp and just stumbled into the adventure.

Just had a quick look, seems like a good site. I've not come across the material on here before.

Well, as far as typing animated characters goes, ESTj wouldn't be the worst guess for Shrek, or so i was lead into thinking...Haven't seen the sequel though.
ps: that site is so pink lol.

Well he lives in a swamp for Christ sake with minimum comfort and eats horrible things, probably has an iron stomach, lol. ISTp are not tough like that really.

*shrugs* I dunno... he seems too cantankerous to be ESTp.

Remember the scene where all the "rejected" fairy-tale characters are over at his swamp & he tells them all to leave? I think an ESTp would be more likely to join in with them & scope out the scene, maybe party with them... Instead Shrek yells at them to go away & just wants to be left alone.

He's constantly reminding Donkey of how he doesn't have any feelings. And Donkey's always teasing him that he really does love & care for him, otherwise he wouldn't be helping him... Shrek usually has no retort to this because... well he does love Donkey...

and the whole thing with Fiona. At first he treats her quite rudely, but slowly her care-free and optimistic personality chips away at his grumpy self, and you can see him begin to enjoy life. but then he comes to mistakenly believe she finds him disgusting and unworthy of love... he still helps her out, but he withdraws all those feelings of love he had towards her. he may still love her at that point, but so that he is not hurt, he once again treats her poorly, as a defense mechanism? sounds like someone whose hidden agenda is "to love".... perhaps??

maybe the way he treats fiona rudely is a sign of his romance style being aggressor? and the way he wont show affection to donkey outside of aggression?

the kind of anger he portrays at first made me think ESTj but also to consider ESTp.

as for the website the top bit is very pretty! but i cant understand much in the way of the text - the translations a tad off.

lets get a clip up in here:

TIP: How to embed a YouTube video...

he reminds me alot of someone i know the way he gets all frustrated when he cant get his point across. and the anger style. and i use to think that fellow in my life was an ESTj but now i wonder if he's an ESTp... hmmmm
