Question #1282558623Monday, 23-Aug-2010
Category: INTj INTp j/p
I consistently test as an INTj, and yet based on descriptive information, and what I know of myself, I feel that I'm better described as an INTp than INTj. Irrespective of this, every test I've taken (and that's quite a lot, even when you consider that there are many similarities between the majority of them) wants to tell me that I am an INTj. I would go with the whole "I really think this, so it's probably the case" thing, but then we have the issue wherein "what I know of myself" may be more "what I think of myself" which is probably rather different to "what I am" after all. Any advice? -- mutsurini

A1 Well if you feel you are an INTp then go with that instinct. You should keep in mind what tests you are taking. Are they MBTi? If they are, then that wwoukd translate better as an INTp in Socionics. BTW, what makes you think you are INTp over INTj? I have met both types and can tell the differences easily, esp thru VI. Plus I'm ISTp and I can spot an INTj quickly -- Anonymous
