Question #1199128737 | Monday, 31-Dec-2007 |

Do thinkers tend to detach from their emotions in order to think clearly and make good decisions? For instance, if they're at work and they're stressed but they have to make an important decision for the company, will they sort of just shut that stress out while making that decision? -- question time |

A1 (NT) Well, I can say that I can feel very strongly about things, but my emotions and logic work at the same time. I "choose" my logic rather than my emotions most times because I feel/think that emotions are great & valuable, but not always very good for basing my decisions on. -- Anonymous |

A2 I don't know if I "detatch", but rather allow my logic to help me make important decisions instead of emotions. If the stress pertains to the work decision, I would use it to help me make the best decision possible. If it's a personal matter causing me stress I'd do my best not to think about it, and remind myself there is a much better time/place to give my emotions the attention they need after work. ...no detatching...but I choose to employ my logic instead.. -- Thinker |
A3 @A2: Hmmm. I do the same thing and I'm a feeler. Maybe this is just a "people" thing and not a "thinker" thing. But I dunno...more in depth research would probably be required to come to that conclusion. -- Anonymous |
