I'm curious. there is a friend of mine who rather irritates me. he keeps insisting that after numerous personality tests. many of them being very precise that he always comes out with no personality. like if it were a bar graph showing your most likely and least likely personality. you could draw a line straight across the top of the bars. or a pie graph might have totally equal parts. i have never heard or seen anything like that. is it possible to have "no personality" or is he just trying to impress me. we do have a rather hot/cold friendship and wage a great deal of intellectual war. -- dakota |

A1 He's just a tw@t. Granted you can do this (always) with some online tests if you know exactly how to do that, but A. he won't be able to do this consistently on every test; B. personality is not the result of some so called personality test. -- Anonymous |

A2 although it is possible to SAY someone has no personality (aka, wow, he had no personality!) This is generally an insult and means they are boring, not that they are literally lacking a personality. 1. Your friend can not have no personality because even being neutral on most traits would give them a personality. They would just be rather... dull.... 2. If they had no personality, why are they bragging? No one is going to talk to them! Although, i think the fact that he is trying to prove he is better then you shows that he has some personality, even if it is "the-guy-who-always-trys-to-show-up-other-people-even-if-what-he-is-better-at -is-being-horrible-at-stuff" -- Anonymous |
A3 As part of the interview process for my current job I had to sit a personality test. I thought I could second guess the answers to try to give a 'corporate' bland profile, but it must have been a good test because it turned out to still produce a very accurate assessment of me. Yet they still gave me the job hehe For personal use I think one of the reasons someone would look to personality testing is that it is a way of self analysis, helping see themselves objectively, and what parts they would like to work on. What therefore is your friends motivation for sitting so many personality tests ? I also don't believe someone could have no preferences in socionics..what therefore would you type him? -- Cyclops |
