| A1 I thought Barack Obama is an ENFj. Off the top of my head, Guiliani might be ESTj. Don't know about McCain. -- econdude |
A2 Obama could totally win if only he wore a dress  That would be a minority sweep victory  Obama may be an ENFj. He is too glib for me though (Yeah, I know that sounds funny coming from an ENFj, but whatever). I still dont trust him. He feels two-faced to me.[Fe]  -- Jadae |
| A3 From Visual ID, u can see that Obama looks nothing like an ENFJ, nor does he act in any way according to the ENFJ profile. How are u making that judgment? Did u hear in the one debate how Alaska Senator Mike Gravel told Obama that he had no moral judgment? Moral Judgment=FJ. He is certainly either a TP or an FP. My best guess after reading all of the profiles is an ENFP. although sometimes I can see ISTP characteristics. What does everyone else think? And what about Hillary? -- Doug |

| A7 Giuliani is probably an ESTj (Hillary's probably an ENTj imo - interesting divide, there). He gave the commencement address at my undergrad ceremony, and he relies on stuff from his past - not full-blown war stories like an Se might, but moral anecdotes, IDK. He's not an N, primarily. I'm seeing Barack speak tomorrow so maybe that will change my mind, but my guess is ENTp, A5 I also believe he's VI'able as an ENTp. Someone want to double-check that? He could be an F, though. McCain is . . . well, IDC. In order to type political figures you need to do one of (at least) three things: 1) learn to distinguish between the candidate's type and the person writing their speeches' type (unlikely that you'd be able to do this, esp. w/ probable INTps like Rove supervising the speech-writers and the rest of the PR machinery! but I digress), 2) state an unjustified belief and leave it at that, or 3) VI them. Unless you know something else that might be helpful. Barack is just too alpha quadrant to be ENFj, IDK. I'll get back to you on this one, but I think he's an ENTp. -- The Sum-Total ENTj. |

| A14 Gulliani is ENFp, McCain is quite possibly ISFj, and while I hear ENFj often touted as a likely typing for Obama, I'm a bit skeptical of that. The eloquence and charisma he exudes when delivering prepared addresses dissipates when he's forced to speak in a more natural, spontaneous manner; then, he seems somewhat dry and professorial. His actual type may be rather far removed from ENFj. I think ISFp is possible. Now, while I'm at it, I'll offer my tentative impressions of the VP candidates: Sarah Palin's contribution to the campaign seems to be her natural charm, energy, and vivacity. She is probably an ESFj. The Democratic VP candidate, Joe Biden, is a garrulous, affable windbag who spouts out gaffes like a Yellowstone geyser. ENTj. -- neon ghost parade |
| A15 Hilary doesn't have much charisma. I think she's an I. My guess would be ISTJ. but I would buy ESTJ too. Would have to see her outside of a speech. I don't see McCain as an F. They usually have more warmth come across. He's so flat. When they have no personality, no offense it's usually ISTJ or ISTP. I really get a T vibe from him. and definitely don't see any ISFPs among them. I think you'd be hard pressed to find any ISF. Maybe among their wives. Laura Bush, ISFJ. It's unusual for Washington politics I would bet. In fact, I have to agree with Sara Palin being ESFJ and I bet that's very uncommon in national politicians. also more like the politician's wife. Obama I have thought ENFJ but that may be just his speechwriter's type and his ghostwriter of his book's type. His off the cuff remarks seem more T to me. I don't trust him either. -- infp |
