Category: ENFp Tests Typing
Hi, I just got into the whole realm of MBTI and socionics and such. i took the test on humanmetrics, stating that I am a ENFP, I guess. I have always been interested in psychology and I like this stuff, but every time I take the test I get slighty different results, always revealing an ENFP or or Enxj, I can't remember. I feel very connected to the descriptions of an ENFP, and I think it's right. What is the validity of these tests and how can you judge the accuracy of one hundred questions off the internet? Also, your compatibility chart is confusing and mysterious to me. I don't know why, but I like the little symbol -- Michael

A1 Maybe you are attatched to the idea of being an ENFP because we have a flattering discription that you want to identify with. -- me

A2 The MBTI-test at humanmetrics and other MBTI sites are flawed, because with a lot of questions, often both answers apply. This is caused by MBTI focussing on behaviour-patters, where Socionics focusses on mental pattern. To give an example: two different MBTI-sites are asking basically the same question: 1. Do you sympathize with characters in Soaps? 2. Do you sympathize with characters in TV-drama? The purpose of these questions is to determine the T/F preference. However, when I have to answer these questions, the first would be answered "No" and the second "Yes". I hate soaps such as "The Bold and the Beautiful", but I love a good tv-drama such as "La Meglio Gioventu". I think the multifactor-test on socioniko.net is a good test. The tests on socionics.com are also good, but only if you are a newcomer to Socionics and MBTI, otherwise you'll know to much and will be capable of filling out the questionnaire with bias. -- pm
