There is a wide variation among enneagram 6's- wings, subtypes, phobic v.s. counterphobic. 6's can be any socionic type. The ESTp 6's I think would most probably have a 7 wing, sx subtype, and be counterphobic.

There is a wide variation among specimens of a particular socionic type too.

No, that's an absurd and obviously false statement. All the relevant differences in personality and temperament can be described in the five dimensions that are measured in the Five Factor theory (Big Five, Global Five ... it's known under various names). Four of those dimensions are identical to the four dichotomies in Socionics.

Every theory worth any shred of respect MUST accept and coincide with those fundamental dimensions of human behaviour and attitude. If the Enneagram ignores those dimensions we are obliged to ignore the Enneagram, since, in that case, it is an idiotic and clearly false theory of human behaviour.

Any competent thinker then realizes immediately that it's totally impossible for a particular Enneatype to be any socionic type, and that it's totally impossible for a particular socionic type to be any Enneatype.

Bullshit, since the ESTp 6 does not exist.

Last friendly reminder to keep posts respectful and to discuss the topic, not the poster.

There is no problem with pointing out another's factual errors by posting counter-argumentation, but avoid the personal commentary attached therein.

We are not keen on having to edit, lock or maybe even delete otherwise interesting and informative threads because members can't refrain from getting personally, making personal remarks / snide remarks and something just because member(s) happen(s) to have a different viewpoint.

Finally, I recommend everyone to read the house rules and stick to it if you'd like to engage in discussions here. Thanks.
