Default Subtypes?

Is it possible to V.I. a Subtype? Could some one look at another person and give their type and subtype? Or do all subtypes look like their main type?

Are relations of duality influenced by subtype? Would a ENFp subtype be more compatible with a certain ISTp subtype? Or is one type simply compatible with another regardless of subtype?

Do subtypes influence friendships at all? One of my best friends is a ENFp and i am a ESTp. These two types aren't necessarily supposed to get along but we do just fine, is this a subtype thing or are we just cool like that?
