Default Belief in reincarnation

Several religions in this world believe in reincarnation. One of them for instance is the druze religion which is present mainly in Lebanon and Syria, but also a bit in Israel and Jordan. They consider themselves Muslims, but believe that the Koran has three layers of meanings: one is explicit, one is implicit, one is called the implicit of the implicit which is accessible to very few in this world who know the secrets of the universe. Unfortunately little is known about this religion because secrecy is valued. They believe in reincarnation and imagine that a non-druze cannot convert to this religion because they believe that everyone has been asked in previous lifes whether it wants to become druze. So the ones who said no are forbidden from entering this religion forever.

After thinking about this religion and its beliefs, I begun wondering what can lead one to believe in reincarnation? Do its beliefs have a rational basis? What do you think?

I personally don't even believe in the existence of a soul. I think we're just advanced machines, so the idea of reincarnation is not possible.

Maybe because then its easier for them to go, or accept that one day they have to go ... having in mind I will come back?

No, that's why they are beliefs.

I do not know whether to believe in the existence of reincarnation or not. Fact is, evidences that would prove its existence aren't available. But how will you prove it anyway???

It's interesting how someone believes we don't have a soul yet wonders why someone could believe in something else.

I can see you have the intention to do the jerk, as usual. I am not going to slide down to this.
