That's actually debatable, C-C. It depends on who you ask. You see, MB TiNe is INTP; Socionics TiNe is INTj. I'd suggest reading both.

He shows a lot of emotions but towards the interested things that can be studied, never towards me.

Do you see him in any other setting?

He thinks of me as intellectually honest with myself. When I tell him something he believes me because I am honest.

He encourages me, he believes I have good potential but I need courage.

I meant, do you see him anywhere else, like around college or something? That way you can see how he reacts to others.

ASSuming he trully makes a good advisor or vice vers to you....and his position is favourable as he took it personally perhaps seeing you on a lesser level(for lack of a better word).....

if he really is ENTp then you are.....ISTj (and its a relationship of supervision)
ISTj of course is the mirror of ESTP making them somewhat close.
You could be INFp too,
....maybe consider those

The supervisor of the ENTp is INFj which is the exact contrary of ESTp. No way.

Do you have an idea how I can really check whether he is my supervisor or not?

No. I don't have an opinion on whether you are INTp or not, because I don't remember why I thought that you were an INTp (if that is what I suggested in the past). But you can't be an ESTp, that is almost a certainty.

No, don't do that. TiNe in MBTT is roughly the same as NiTe in Socionics. You cannot be an INTj if you are an INTP in MBTT. INTps and INTPs are irrational (perceiving) types, INTjs and INTJs are rational (judging) types -- in both models. You are necessarily the same type in both systems.

It's rather obvious that he and I disagree on this. However, for the sake of the exception, it's good to read both just in case.

I see that as illogical...... You're talking about constants here....you cant change constants.......
Ti is always Ti
Ne is always Ne
Ni is always Ni
Te is always Te

Fe is always Fe etc.etc.

These are not negotiable. It's that simple.
Note the only thing thats negotiable is the interpretation of the J/P preference. J/P of course are not functions but are mere generalizations of the functions. You cant compare apples and oranges as the saying goes.

No, I'm not talking about constants. I am talking about types ... you can't change types.

"Ti" and "Ne" are just theoretical labels. When put together ("TiNe") in MBTT type descriptions they roughly describe the same empirical phenomenon that is described as (NiTe) in socionic type descriptions. The INTP is the same type as the INTp (ILI), but the theoretical explanations for the behaviour of INTPs/INTps differ.

A good will is always a good will -- ask the lawyers.
A lark is always funny -- especially when it wakes you up in the morning.
A tie is always a good match -- especially the Windsor.

Wrong. J/P is of course not mere generalizations of the functions. It is a label of the biological difference between rational (judging) and irrational (perceiving) types. You are either a J or a P type, and you can never be J in one model and P in the other. They refer to the same empirical phenomenon.

When is Ti not Ti?

I feel there is a hidden meaning I should be searching for.

I honestly think I spent too long in the sun this morning.
