Default Socionics induced Madness?

So I'm an INFP who is endless fascinated with socionics. It has given my intuitive understanding a method to really mull over my perspective. While my interactions with others used to manifested itself in a "feeling" of understanding, this approach has created a connection between the unconscious level and the conscious that is somewhat exhausting.

Instead of just "getting it" my mind insists on further breaking things down into leading functions, hidden agendas, etc. to the point of almost continuous mania. Everything I see people do will turn into something like: "Ah Ha! That's the person using their extroverted intuition as their leading function! That makes perfect since with the introverted thinking they use for that other reason! Of course they feel that way because introverted feeling is in this position, which does this to that! But wait, there's this! Mwhahahaha!"

Perhaps worse, I feel like I have to get it all out, which is becoming seriously problematic when it comes to other's ability to relate to me.
I'm not really looking for therapy concerning this in the forum, I just think it's an interesting development. I'm not really sure what to do about it as 1) I love it, but 2) It's making me lose touch with regular reality even more hardcore.

Unlike my other obsessions that quickly pass, this one hits me in perfectly in my INFP-place and gives voice to what I've really been doing with reality all along. Do any INFPs feel this way? The only other INFP I know has never really had the necessity to understand things so badly (I believe, because he's never felt like he's needed understand himself to fit into the world). Anyone else's thoughts are appreciated too.

I think it's mentioned on another Socionics site, although I forget which one, that people often become temporarily obsessed with the system once they start getting into it. I know I did. It'll probably cool off after a while though.

Yeah, BL is right, it'll cool down...eventually I think the reason this happens is because earlier or later we all wonder about why is that we can get on beautifully with some people and horribly with other people, while Socionics puts all that baggage into perspective.

don't let it suck the life out of you or bore your friends. as awesome as it seems at first, friends and family will not all appreciate it as much as you do. especially when you start telling them things they don't want to hear.

also, you can be wrong in your interpretation, or the theory can be wrong or something else. then it just makes you look like an idiot. happens to the best of us.

Making fool of yourself is an important part of the learning process...I think

Keep at it. When it clicks, you get your life back. Of course, you'll then be unable to not have Socionics in your brain but noticing types/etc. will be an unremarkable as noticing the rest of the world around you.

I donot talk at all about socionics or enneagram to anyone except a close friend. I feel that they have to be top secret. When I write on this forum for example I open another page if one passes close to me.

I am an INFp woman exorbitantly obsessed with Socionics now. Hear me Roar! *pounds on chest like Tarzan* Ouch, that hurt! Lucky males don't have lumps of fat on their chest.
