Determining type

I was thinking of determining type by different means. I was thinking of perhaps determining by association. Stuff that resonates with who you are. Characters from books, movies, real ones, fictional ones, pictures, acts, quotes, events, something you can point you finger at and say "That is me". I think this approach could have potential for internet usage.

Here's an example of how it could look. Being that I'm not sure of my type I'll be a test subject here.
For instance here's a quote I liked. I saw it in somebody's signature on the net end it immediately resonated with me. I made me go " http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...lins/devil.gif "

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but whips and chains excite me."

I love it.

Also here's a site with comics that I simply loooooooove. (The comics that is)

http://www.cheston.com/pbf/archive.html

That is the kinda stuff that I make. The same style. Here's a couple of ones that I really liked

*Really, reeeeally liked

And here's a couple in the style of how I think and which I could easily have made or have made stuff just like that.

*Stuff I made, just not that scenario. But exactly the same in any other way.

Also here's a site I *don't* like. That I find appalling.

http://www.homestarrunner.com/

Not only is this not funny and enjoyable, but this kind of vomit is for retarded people and little children. I had the "pleasure" of having to bear through a shit load of those emails. I absolutely couldn't believe those retards enjoyed it. I kept questioning "What is wrong with these people? Why are they so retarded?". No wonder they're all losers. With such lack of a sense of humor I would kill myself if I were like them.

Anyway, what type do you people think I could be?

Alot of the stuff reminds me of ENFp humor. Like the one with the tree and the axe meeting again and the one with the kids jumping into a book. I used to work with an ENFp that made stuff like that. It's impressive.

Too black, too morbid. That ENFp of yours must have been really bumped on the head. http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...ns/bashing.gif

Are you calling me "bumped on the head"? http://socionics.com/ubb/graemlins/sly.gif Cause I make stuff like that too. Here's a little story I wrote some time ago. I wrote a lot of stuff like that but this is the only one I (semi) preserved.
Quote:

Once upon a time there lived a little girl called Little Red Riding Hood. She lived in the suburbs with her mommy and daddy. One day her mommy decided to send her over to her grandma’s house which was deep in the woodly woods (She was a nut case). She packed different gifts for grandma (Booze) and gave them to Little Red.
-“Ok, honey, now take this to the old nutjob and remember to be nice. We have her inheritance to think of”
-“Don’t worry mamma, I’ll be good”
And off she went. Little Red smirks.
-“Mamma’s stupid. I know what’s gonna happen. I read the book. The wolf’s gonna eat gran’ma and try to fool me by pretending to be gran’ma. Then with my trusty shotgun I’m gonna blow his brains out and then save gran’ma and she’s gonna give me all of her money as a reward”
Little Red then packed the shotgun neatly in her bag and set off for grandma’s house. On her walk through the woodly woods she encountered the *big* *bad* wolf.
-“Hey’a Red”
-“Hey’a Wolf”
-“Of to see the nutjob again. I heard she shot a man last night.”
-“What, again?”
-“Yeah, the police are in the area. They’ll probably declare this one a suicide to. Must be nice to have all that money.”
-“Yeeeeeah. I’d love to get my hands on *that* money! Well, see ya...wolf” and off she went.
The wolf stood there until Little Red left.
-“Hmmm, that little bitch is up to something. I’d better go up to the house of terror and see what she’s up to”
As the wolf was going to grandma’s house he tripped and fell and imbedded himself on a broken off three stomp. It went through his chest like through butter. Heavy hemorrhaging followed and the wolf died in horrible pain. In the meantime Little Red arrived at her grandma’s. She knocks on the door.
-“You home gran’ma?”
-“The doors open, just give me the stuff and go away”
Little Red enters. She approaches grandma.
-“Ok…wolf! I know that’s you in gran’ma’s bed! Where’s gran’ma!” and she pulled her shiny shotgun from her backpack over her head and pointed it at her grandma. Little Red was blind on one eye and could see poorly on the other. She got that from all the beating she received while younger. She also got a crocked spine, and hearing problems. Not to mention brain damage.
-“But I am your grandma you insane little girl” grandma replied in horror.
-“You better tell me what you’ve done to gran’ma” reloads ”or I’ll blow your brains out!”
-“But I AM your grandma!!!”
-“Don’t worry gran’ma!” puts the nozzle of the shotgun in grandma’s mouth ”I’ll save you!”
Pulls the trigger and blows grandma’s brains out…of her head.
-“Don’t worry gran’ma I’m-a-coming” and grabs her trusted hunters knife and rips a hole in grandma’s abdomen.
-“Dang!“ looks through her intestines ”She’s not here! Where could she be” and starts looking for grandma all over the place. A little while later Little Red is disturbed by something that sounded like a police megafon. She grabs her trusted shotgun and goes outside to investigate. And sure enough immediately as she exits the house she discovers the problem. The house was surrounded by cops and they all had their weapons pointed at her. As you might imagine Little Red got a bit scared. Now you might imagine how this looked for the brave men and women in blue in front of the house. Little Red…all soaked in blood…with a shotgun in her hand…looking like a monster…well you get the picture. Anyway, Little Red was standing there, shaking like a leaf and then, whoops, that clumsy little girl, accidentally pulled the trigger. Well…you might’ve guessed what happened next. Bullets started flying like there was no tomorrow. Bit and pieces of Little Red flying everywhere. Oh, it was truly…horrid. When the showering stooped there wasn’t much left of the poor little girl.
After that incident Little Red’s mommy got her hands on the money she so desperately wanted from grandma and divorced her husband. She went on trips around the world and lived the life of true hedonism. Little Red’s daddy didn’t see a dime from his mother’s fortune that was supposed to become his. He later remarried and they all lived happily ever after.

THE END

You sure about the ENFp part? I have an ENFp friend (At least I think he's ENFp) and what he makes is always latent with his idealistic messages it makes me sick. http://img315.imageshack.us/img315/1996/rigo0144ey.gif Plus he plagiarizes like crazy. I really, really hate that.

I found them sickeningly funny as well, so what's your point? Do you like this morbid humour anytime and all the time or just sometimes? Can you relate to it like it is your own or you just understand it? Would you be able to constantly produce similar stuff by thinking along these lines all the time or you may have an occasional sick idea?
I can understand and produce this kind of humor if I gave it some effort but I wouldnt want to do it all the time , no. I find it funny in a sort of destructive way like how its exciting to break something like a glass or big old jug of spoiled apple cider. Too much of this humor would cause me to become cynical and depressed after a while Im guessing.

Re: Determining type

Im fairly certain I am ENFP and I found thoses cartoons a crack up!! I love the one with the eye (god) "Proceed" http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...lins/devil.gif
and the raining bacon one! The tree and the ax one was brilliant http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...lins/crazy.gif good times.
Addmitedly the Marry Me in dead bodies was sort of creepy/funny. I think ENFPs like some sick, ironic humor but Im sure ENTPs can do deeper into the abyss or would tend to produce more of it. The Far Side seems ENFPish to me albiet passe.

I'm ENFp and I only thought two of them were funny - the one with the airplane crash and the one with the pig with dynamite on it.

I agree with Topaz that The Far Side is more my style http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...lins/smile.gif

Re: Determining type

Once I dreamed/daydreamed about a video game that presented the player with different options and scenarios. Underneath it all was a program that tested for type based of the options the person would choose. Since the player is unaware that they are being tested they would just act on instinct and do what they naturally would. http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...ns/biggrin.gif
Problem with this is, do people act as they normally would in an artifical environment like a video game? Perhaps and NT would since that usually is their normal environment http://intjworld.com/forums/ubbthrea...ns/evillol.gif

Really? I thought that were the ISxj-s environment. I've yet to meet a single NT that actully spent their time playing video games. (I don't mean like a pastime here and there)
