So I know ISTp's get a bad rap for "pushing people away" or hurting them. Being hot and cold, needing time to think, etc. in a relationship. Well here's the thing... I'm a Delta NF and I have done the same thing. Not that I ever intended to hurt the guys I was dating at various points in time, but I just really needed to think things through. And for that, I needed space. Maybe it was that they didn't give me space, so I had to "push" to get enough space for my head, to be able to think more clearly. But I have definitely had trouble with that, where I would get really close to a guy and then put some space between us because I needed to think. And then we would get close again, push away again, etc. So I feel like I totally understand the ISTp's point of view here, even though I'm a Delta NF. Have any other ENFp's/INFj's experienced this? Or is this not normal? -- Chica |
