| Would being able to identify people as personality types help understand them better or would it be me trying to label people and wrongly assume things? (I am INFP) Would it best to go by the physical characteristics or to know the person and figure it out. Is this something that can be quickly assessed when meeting someone? -- Ross |

| A1 it all depends on your natural talents or how much you study this. We all have weaknesses that might seem more annoying to some more than others. All depends on the combinations. Like a color for example you mix yellow with blue you get some type of green, mix yellow with black you get blue? No. You don’t get the same results; you see and experience something different. -- musicphilos |

| A2 Socionics will definitely help you understand people better, but it also tempts to overgeneralizing and condemning. Also, people's characters are modelled by many other factors than Socionics types so it will always help you only partly. It takes some studying and then it's up to you how you use the knowledge. Whether you will be able to tell someone's type just by observing them for a little while I don't know, it depends on your observation skills. But if you put some effort into it it's probable. -- Ezis (ESFp) |
