What is the difference between an ESTp and an ESFp? I am having a bit of trouble typing one of my friends and would like to know some obvious traits, characteristics, etc that each have. -- Anonymous |

A1 ESTps are more into being busy and getting things done. When ESFps try to give explanations about things, they suck miserably. When ESTps want to persuade you, they do it with excellent logic, while ESFps do it by influencing your feely side. ESFps might be glassy eyed a lot of times and do a lot of thinking which makes even themselves think their introverts. ESTps can be found kissing a lot of asses. They lick it until its shiny squeaky actually. Emotions from ESTps are fake most times. -- Anonymous |
A2 There are a lot of differences but what might help you is the habit of ESFps to smile broadly or laugh when you least expect it. When ESFps don't smile, they look very serious, glassy-eyed (A1) and as if sunk in themselves, maybe even angry, but when they smile, their faces simply shine with good mood (you can see that smile in some of the ESFp celebrities here). Most of them love to joke and to please people. It's also easy to type the person in a conflict situation - ESTps usually have no problem with them but ESFps can't stand conflict. An ESTp will probably try to persuade the others they're right or ignore the situation at all, while an ESFp will get angry, run away or ease the athmosphere by smiling and pointing out the problem's not so important. -- Anonymous |
