I'm an ISTp girl and i am attracted to an INTp man. Can this work? I have a great interest in him and he is clearly gracious to comply to my curiousity. But if it happens that more comes of our friendship i'm curious to know people's opinions on whether it could work. -- ISTp girl |

A1 ISTp and INTp have a Look-a-Like relationship. It's not the worst relationship in the world. It would probably be a little unfulfilling, but on the other hand it probably wouldn't be too unpleasant. It would probably be good for a while during the initial excitement of a new relationship, but then you may find yourself feeling like there's something missing, and wishing for someone more outgoing and full of life, someone who could show you all the possibilities life has to offer (i.e., Ne). Like I said, it could be worse. -- Krig (INTj) |

A2 Although there is socionics, if you like each other, put the socionics to the side and enjoy eachother.. There are always exceptions -- ISTp |
A3 There are never exceptions. Socionics is like gravity, it applies in every case. However, like gravity, the natural tendencies of Socionics can be resisted. Almost any type of relationship can be made to work, Socionics just describes how much effort it's going to take and what the problems and benefits are going to be. -- Krig (INTj) |
A4 Thanks for your help guys. At the moment we're still friends and its been made clear we find each other attractive. But he's also made clear that he is impossible to own. Just from conversation. How do i interest him? I think i already do but maybe i'm just looking for a clarified reaction that i most likely won't get. -- ISTp girl |
A5 Im finding myself quite infatuated with an istp girl. Anyways though, it sounds like hes already interested. As an intp i find myself interested in everything prettymuch. If you want a clarified reaction you should probably push for it or request it in some way since hes assuming you know or doing something else similar. impossible to own doesnt meen impossible to be with also. -- Anonymous |
A6 The thing is, since both are Introvert, no one will take the step to make you more then friends. This is not confirmed, it's just what I think. -- INTp |
A7 While it is true that we INTps are impossible to own and we don't really develop many if any physical or emotional attachments that doesn't mean we are impossible to get. INTps are catch and release critters. If you are into this guy my advice is take the plunge, corner him in an exploitative and passionate physical encounter. You may be surprised by the result. Getting an INTp to let go in the moment and really connect with you is kind of like watching coral bloom. It's an incredibly beautiful thing to behold, but it only happens once a year and if you miss it you have to wait for the next time, which will probably be quite a while. The bright side of it though is that if you do manage to catch that moment the chance of a recurrence goes up exponentially. It's like the old Pringles slogan "once you pop, you can't stop". INTps are insatiable under the right circumstances. -- INTp |
A8 A7 that was beautifly stated. It would be nice to find someone interested in nurturing me and waiting for me to let go... its kindof erotic... -- Jennifer |
A9 Isn't this the prelude to one of those great disappearing acts? -- Anonymous |
