Category: Duality Theory
Duality. As an INFJ, my dual is ESTJ. The first girl I dated was an ESTJ, and I'm not going back. I admit that I am always immediately attracted to the type. I don't know why. Maybe because they're so stinking clever. I guess the difference fascinates me. But, as a proper INFJ, I am the most sensitive ball of emotion ever. ESTJ's, I've found, are not the most sensitive of people. They live in the immediate world, I'm always lost in the clouds. Right now I'm dating my mirror, ENFP. That's supposed to be a bad thing, I've read. It took some real adjustment, but I think we've figured it out. It was so interesting to me that the place of confidence for one is the place for creativity of the other. As long as I can remain open to her influence, even (especially?) in my areas of strength, I think it's a wonderful match. We'll see, I guess. My question is: what is this theory of duality? Honestly, long run, I NEED a sensitive partner, or I'm just going to mope around all day feeling misunderstood. Why is duality considered best? -- Trevor

A1 ESTjs are not insensitive people. They can be sensitiver lovers. The thing is, even logical types feel, and vice versa, ethical types can be logical. So I don't think you should be so concerned about ESTjs not being sensitive enough for you. They're called "care-givers" for a reason. -- Anonymous
