| Does everyone need emotional intimacy regardless of type? For example, in a marriage situation would two thinkers need emotional intimacy less than two feelers? -- Curious |

| A1 Its a good question and something I've wondered about. I think everyone needs emotional intimacy. For myself, I do have feelings-it is just that they are not as apparent as my feelings are in my fourth function. So yes in a relationship I do need emotional intimacy, I think the difference is that because feelings are not my strongest function like feeling types, I am more uncomfortable than some others with excessive emotional displays. So on the face of it, it may look like there's a lack of feelings, but its just that to me they are deeper and more profound. -- Cyclops |
| A2 @A1: You know I always got that vibe from my ISTp brother...like there was a lot of depth to his emotion. Oh and it's not just thinking types that have a hard time with excessive emotional display or expressing emotion...I personally know a few feelers that have a VERY difficult time expressing emotion...all of them introverts (dunno if that has anything to do with it). -- curious |
