Do personality type "strengths" change of shift after retirement or when living in a "senior" community? If so, how does it manifest? -- mabel marshall

A1 One's core type is always the same. It's natural to develop weaker functions throughout one's life, so that some might seem even more dominant, for a time, which are not characteristic of your core self. -- anonymous

A2 I wonder if some people who retire discover that they start to prefer their dominant function much more. Work often demands using less preferred or weaker functions. I haven't done any research or thought much about it but I wouldn't accept the classic MBTI view that as we age we begin to develop our less dominant functions more. -- econdude
