Category: ENTp ENFp
Are ENFp's reporters because their hidden agenda is to know and they want to conquer this weakness by knowing everything first and showing everyone what they know? Are ENTp's inventors because they want to improve other peoples lives with clever inventions and thus satisify their hidden agenda "to be loved"? I think it's possible to draw more parallels like this but I'm not sure if this is correct. -- Joey ENTp

A1 In both cases the names were given considering the creative block of functions, for ENTp it is and for ENFp it is . ENFp's is interpreted as to find something unusual, interesting, non-ordinary and stir up an opinion, basically sensationalism. ENTp's is the same sort of idea only to bring originality to a logical conclusion. -- Admin
A2 In both cases its for self-sufficiency, and to gain much desired attention. ENFp's less so for attention, but very much true still. The common drive: to see potential where no one else does.. but more than that: to see potential, believe in it, and against all odds and opposition, be solely responsible for providing the nurturance necessary to turn that potential into something "substantial," or something "real." This drive has to do with the common dominant function, Ne. An ENTp would have this drive for a slightly different reason and in a slightly different area than an ENFp, due to their secondary function, Ti. An ENTp would be more likely driven to discover potential within the realm of abstract _ideas_ and, by their own doing, make them a reality. If they do this, then surely they will have done something real, and beneficial, and satisfying, and surely they'll get the type of attention they desire. ENTp's want attention, straight up, and to get it for doing something real, or something useful, or something profound would be most satisfying, but its not absolutely mandatory. In reality, if ENTp's aren't successful at being relevantly original or new, or groundbreaking, or aren't getting attention for the aforementioned reasons, then eventually they'll have no problems scheming to reach such an end. If they don't scheme, then their depression, from being attention starved, grows worse over time. An ENFp wants to unearth the potential within people, or within values, or ideals. This is due to their secondary function, Fi. If they extract and nurture the hidden potential within another person, then surely they have had an unquestionably unique impact within their area of personal interest. So as they know within themselves that they have done something unique and refreshing and worthwile, so they would also know that they are in fact important and are in fact contributing to the movement of life; and armed with that knowledge they would be confident of their worth, and wouldn't have to seek affirmation from anyone else. That is, they would be constantly consoled by their inner world, of which they are in good control, rather than needing to be consoled by the external world, from which they can only receive haphazard supporting evidence. So if they are important and worthwile, then surely they will be worth all the attention they desire. Needing attention, in the case of an ENFp, is a bit funny, because they need attention to remind themselves that they are worthwile, so if they knew of their worth, due to an unearthing of potential within people, then they would actually not need any more attention than is normal. An ENFp would have to constantly discover new potential to keep their internal feeling of worth alive, also, so they REALLY ARE just shifting the realm within which they'd draw their evidence. I'm not trying to say that ENxP's are inherently evil or dispicable for wanting attention, because the desire for attention is common among most, if not all, types. I'm simply looking at how ENxP's, specifically, would prefer to go about getting attention, and its relation to their hidden agenda and the dominant function. It is almost possible to think of the hidden agenda as a drive, or motivator for a person. That is, if you want to motivate someone into action, or if you want to keep them motivated, then you just present the situation in such a way as to massage their hidden agenda: show them that their actions will be ultimately rewarding. I'm assuming you already know that people try to satisfy their hidden agenda to make their weaknesses a moot point. Maybe I'll try to respond again at a later date. I don't feel like I "hit it" with this reply. -- Anonymous
A3 ENFps are reporters because they know how to put emotion in their voices so that when they talk, people like to listen to them. Their hidden agenda "to know" means that they hearing new information, so they like sharing it too. ENTps like loving. They usually only have good intentions towards other people, and if they try to bring someone down its usually out of revenge. ENTps need reassurance that they are loved because then they are free to talk as much as they want. When an ENTp thinks they have won a person or group over unconditionally they start talking a lot and have a lot more of a presence than when they're uncertain, one reason why sometimes they think they are introverts. The more people they win over the more quickly they open up into their natural state. They enjoy sharing information about themselves. -- ENTp
A4 Would an ENTp with a strongly developed Ti be seen as lawyerly and reserved, becoming more prudent/meticulous about when to "let go" in social situations? -- Anonymous
A5 Wow, ENTp's comment in A3 really is right on in my book. -- ENXp ....Feeling?
A6 i think ENXP's desire attention so they can learn how to make a change, and they desire attention in the form of praise after making a change because otherwise, they don't see a point to what they're doing/life. They just make their changes in different areas. -- enxp..leaning towards feeling
A7 i totally agree with A3. it stopped my breath for a sec. I love to talk(xchange ideas)whith people,but most think I'm weird,arrogant or "over-educated"; i then seem quietly aloof,introverted even. -- Cynthia 555
