Hi. Just a quick question. On the MBTI I come out as infp, and when I take the socionics test I also come out as infp. Is my true 'socionics' type infj if I have introverted feeling with auxillary extraverted intuition? My boyfriend is estp, so the difference is kind of vital! -- Sarah |

A1 Yes the true socionics INFj has dominant introverted feeling and auxiliary extraverted intuition . It is also more common for an INFp to come up INFj on the tests than vice versa. -- Admin |
A2 Do you know the kind of type relations you have with your ESTP boyfriend? If I have studied socionics.com correctly, that is the way to know your type (if you know your boyfriend's type and the type of intertype relations, then you know your type without fail). -- econdude |
A3 It is true that MBTI INFP and Socionics INFj both have dominant Fi and auxiliary Ne. However functions, here Fi and Ne DON'T HAVE the SAME MEANING in both systems. So it's quite possible that someone is INFJ AND INFj or INFP AND INFp. If your boyfriend is ESTP according to MBTI he also is not necessarily ESTp according to Socionics. I know it's very complicate. Both systems are very different. While MBTI is more about apparent behavior and what people externalize, Socionics is more about intertype relations and their mutual understanding or misunderstanding -- piccolo_michel |
