I have initially tested as a ISTJ on the Keirsey site, but when I took the Myers-Briggs test, came out as INFP. Could we have dual temperaments? Could we be one temperament out of necessity? I have been told I do not have very many ISTJ qualities but lots of INFP qualities. Is it possible to morph into another temperament as we come to feel comfortable with our innerselves? -- Anonymous |

A1 As you become more comfortable with yourself, you ease into your _true_ type. You don't really "evolve" as much as you "normalize." -- Anonymous |

A2 In my experience it is very easy to appear ISTJ on the Kiersey test especially if you've never seen it before. I did. Here's a hint: An SJ temprament is what the American educational system conditions everyone to have. If you recognize that, you may find that if you're true to yourself, as opposed to society's ideal of who you should be, that your temprament is completely different; then, on the other hand, it might not be. -- Anonymous |
