Category: INTj INTp Functions
if i'm not mistaken, jung's typed himself as an INTj w/ dominant, that is. but shouldn't he had been an INTp ( dominant) instead? he used to dream a lot when he was little. isnt' that a very thing?? can anyone help me out here please? -- whoever.

A1 It is from my own experiences with INTj's that they are often drawn to the mystical, archaic, or symbolic in some form or another although it may not be so obvious upfront. Is there really a correlation with dreaming and type? I have known INTj's which have many very fascinating and creative dreams. -- Anonymous
A2 Aren't we all dream a lot when little? -- Doug
A3 Yup, I know an INTJ who frequently talks about some new dream he's had.. He seems to like to draw out some meaning from them too. -- kopernikus
A4 lol i think everyone dreams a lot, like every time u sleep a lot. simply u do not remember dreams during which u do not wake up -- Anonymous
A5 i am an intj - and i can't really dream. The second my head hits the pillow my brain just turns off. maybe it gets busy making all those left-to-right connections... i dunno bu I do know that I wake up in the morning in a positive mood. -- Abdul
A6 I'm an INTJ and have the craziest but yet meaningful dreams. I can't really explain why. I believe without doubt, a meaning, a purpose, a side of me in these dreams unravels an important piece to the never ending puzzle. -- ghostintheshell.jp AT gmail.com
A7 This is hardly an original thought, but the brain is receiving THE EXACT SAME SIGNALS when you are asleep when you are awake, that is, when you see something when you are awake, your brain registers it in the same way when you see something in your sleep. So are we in a waking dream, and live life when we sleep? Science cannot tell us because it can't be prove one or the other. I have vivid dreams frequently (the terrifying to wonderful ratio is about 10:1, although many dreams are benign). Mainstream psychology will give you a stock answer that the brain has to process the information it picked up during the day by dreaming, but again that's just as wild a guess as anything else anyone could think of as an explanation. My dreams and whether I associate meaning with them might have nothing to do with me being an INTj, or that might make me more of an INTj. -- econdude
A8 Jung must have described himself in 'Psychological Types' since he described all eight basic types(and also noted auxiliary functions). Jung also has an autobiography. If you read both of these things and compare details you may come to the same conclusion that I have. Jung was an introverted thinking type with auxiliary intuition. His early interest and identification with Nietzsche and Goethe and his typing of these men and introverted thinking types is a good signal. He also mentions the negative effects in the development of their intuition -- ENTp
A9 I'm one of those people who dream about it and it happens the next day, what's up with that? I'm an ENxP. -- Anonymous
A10 Hey guys, I think you are all forgetting that everyone dreams approx the same but it all depends on whether the person remembers it. I find dreams had during light sleep are remembered easily, but nights I sleep heavily I don't remember a darn thing! -- Anonymous
