| A1 You can spot an ISTp through their sort of relaxed practicality. They are creative with their logic, although often lazy in the application of it. As an ENFp they will help to calm you down, as well as handle simple day to day procedures you may not be so good at. Since they have a strong aesthetic sense they will help you to refine your tastes and help you to live a more healthy lifestyle. They are also emotionally inhibited, which may amuse you, being that your emotions are your area of creativity. Like with all dual pairs there will be few conflicts. Most of all, they will be able to help you IDENTIFY logical errors you may not be able to TELL are there. -- Steve, ENTp |
| A2 Steve, I don't think you actually answered the question. I am an ISTP male and I think I can offer a bit of direction. As an ISTP, I am not inclined to be the center of attention at work or at parties. However, with people that I feel very comfortable around, I will have them laughing their butts off. Not because I say some thing that is generically funny but rather, I say something that I know is funny to them as an individual or group. If you enter into this little environment (and I don't know you) I immediately switch into "observation mode" and will listen and watch what you do. I have often been described by people that I consider to be aquaintances, that I have a "quiet confidence" about me, I prefer the term "still waters run deep" personally. As a family man having 5 children, I am a completely different animal at home. I have very Extraverted tendancies with my wife, children and extended family, there I do not mind at all being the center of attention. Now...why would you like one? We are fantastic "fixers" or "crafters." Example, (it may not be a perfect example but...) when we fix or craft something around the house, it usually is a thing of beauty both in form/function and strenth. We don't just build a set of shelves, we build a set of SHELVES! And we can do it with a suprisingly modest set of tools...imagine what we could do with an awsome set. Same goes for the relationships. For those ISTP's that become more comfortable with sharing their feelings, watch out... you will know, absolutely know that what we say to you, how we say it and when we say were absolutely tailored to you. There will be NO insincerity in words or actions. You will know, to your core, nothing waivering (because I will carefully craft the words the words - specifically tailored to you) that I meant what I said. If I tell you that I am mad, you will know that this is "my truth" and if I tell you that I love for you and care for you (which I will give specific examples), you will know that this is also "my truth." | A3 As my compatriot says, everything is true. Also to help you clarify, in terms of looks (well for me anyway) we have a smart and tidy look but with a sense of ruggedness..ie nice clothes but not shaved for a few days, or lovely well tailored winter coat, but why wearing trainers?! Han solo is a movie example of istp and princess lea is enfp .. Need one say more? -- The ISTp |
