Category: Duality ENTp ISFp
What exactly attracts ISFPs to their duals: ENTPs? I've known ISFPs to be attracted more to people who will provide them with exciting experiences among other (often superficial) qualities that are not necessarily the strong points of ENTPs. -- Anonymous

A26 I find myself looking for my dual when I meet somebody I like... it's like I want the person to be able to GET me and see beyond my exterior...a lot of people don't understand it... it's strange and funny discovering this (I consider myself to be an ISFP) yeah this is cool . By the way after I read some stuff about Duality relationships, I don't think they should be praised too much compared to other relationships ...? -- Anonymous

A27 As an ENTP currently enamored with an ISFP, I think the ISFP loves the fact that the ENTP sees in him/her what no one else does; the ENTP has the imagination and deduction ability to see what the ISFP doesn't display outwardly. The ISFP, therefore, doesn't have to explain him/herself or reveal too much because the ENTP just knows. And the ENTP can charm everyone, sure, but none of that matters to him/her. If he/she can charm the ISFP however, then that means everything. The happiness of the ISFP is the ENTP's greatest quest and challenge. In the mind of the ENTP, nothing worth having is easily had. And the ISFP's heart is the greatest prize. So you see, the ENTP puts the ISFP at the center of an exciting universe. They're both happy. -- Anonymous
A28 ... this is totally weird, guys. I have an INTp boyfriend right now, but we're long distance and so most of my time is spent with my ENTp guy friend who's in the same boat. We flirt like mad, even though we both know it's going nowhere, but this is EXACTLY what our relationship is like to the TEE. I'm attracted to him because of his originality, his thoughts, and his "**** you, world!" attitude that seems to be directed at everything but me, and he seems to love 'drawing me out of my shell'. As predicted, eerily enough, I'm also slightly scared of him. Thankfully, I see this fear starting to go away and he hasn't gotten bored with me yet. Guess I lucked out! haha... I'll let you all know how this plays out, though, because right now it's the epitome of what was just described. -- Lena, ISFp
A29 I'm an ENXp and I think A9 is true. -- Anonymous
A30 I have to say... I clash with ISFP friend, and she knows it. I say/do things that could be perceived by her as insensitive... it all ends with alienation. As far as I can tell, Sensors and iNtuitives do not mix all that well... -- Anonymous
A31 ISFp are not that sensitive. Contrary to popular belief, I think T types are more sensitive to hurt than F types are as F types are better at dealing with and taking care of their own emotions than T types. When T types cry, they feel helplessness and despair whereas F types feel healthy letting out their emotions and know that it had to happen sometime and feel kinda good about it (if it doesn't happen frequently and if the situation is not as bad as to cause self-pity). T types usually neglect their own emotions and don't pamper them so they find themselves getting hurt for unreasonable reasons. F types like to do things for the sole reason of feeling good whereas T types usually want to rationalize their decisions and steps. And finally when their emotions erupt, they don't know what to do about them and make irrational decisions. Here, I'm talking more about immature Ts where age has nothing to do with it - I've seen some really old T types that are still underdeveloped (immature) and some very young (teenagers) T types that pretty well balanced and developed emotionally. And as F types mature, they develop their T and come to a healthy balance. I've noticed people becoming more like their duals as time goes. -- Anonymous
A32 probably the madness and then underneath that the ability to looo o ovvveeee -- Th
A33 I like people who are confident, funny, open-minded, random, creative, and drama-free. ENTPs in descriptions seem to possess those qualities. I'm not sure if I've ever met one. It'll be cool to know one. -- ISFP
A34 A33 (cont): wow, after reading all of these comments, it seems to me like some people here have superior complex of some sorts. I was actually really excited of meeting an ENTP in real life but it's good that you guys beat down my expectations. I hate having too much trust in a theory anyway. Still, I would like to remind you guys that people are not made from cookie cutters. No 2 people from a same type are going to be exactly alike. Cliche, I know, just feel like I need to point it out. I know at least 2 people from every types except ENTP and INTP, and even then, within a type, they can be strikingly different. @A25: Making grammar mistakes =/= stupid. The person could be a foreign English speaker. It's not fair to judge people solely on that basis. -- ISFP
A35 As a male ENTP recently enamored of a female ISFP, I have no particular idea what she sees in me, but I can speak to the inverse of the original poster's question (namely, what I like about the ISFP). More than anything, I like her kindness. I like how nice she is to me. I like that she listens to my endless ramblings about the nature of reality and how defeat biological aging and genocide. I'm a huge fan of the fact that she's drama-free. And I love her infectiously happy smile. -- Prometheus
A36 I'm ILE/ENTp/ENTP and ISFp sounds like a very boring personality type to me... I want someone who is fully equal to me when discussing and/or debating things. I don't just want them to listen, I want them to actively participate with their own ideas and arguments. I also don't need a Si type to tell me how to apply my concepts because I can get that sorted myself if I want to. plus, for some reason I prefer someone who's not introverted. -- hmmhmm
A37 I am a female ISFP. Recently I've had romantic relations with a male ENTP. The attraction was instant and intense, but the honey moon feeling diminished within weeks. Complete comfort has already taken its toll. Personally, as an ISFP I've felt I don't have much to offer an ENTP, but I've sure been learning quite a bit since we met! And I'm thankful for these experiences. The true difference I feel with this type that I haven't experienced in others is true openness and honesty from both sides. -- Oxblood
A38 To A16 It sounds like you're a Ti-Subtype. In this case, it's worth not dismissing duality entirely and instead look out for the Fe-ISFp, who is more lively and fun and will give you more drama. -- ILE
