C1 I've voted INTj, because they could be very convincing. Another question is whether or not they would choose to lie. -- Anonymous |
C2 The actor is an obvious choice, but the INFP's feeling-intuition thing can be even worse. What's more is that we're able to sell it because we feel like we believe it. -- Anonymous |
C3 I'm an INTJ, and yes, we can be quite convincing. But in order to lie properly, you have to somewhat seduce. Therefore, y think enfj or entps are more likely to succeed on these issue. -- Anon |
C4 I voted for ENTP's, the director, because I think bosses have to be cunning to get where they are, and since many are corporate leaders, well, how honest are corporate leaders? Remember Enron? -- Anonymous |
C5 "I've voted INTj, because they could be very convincing. Another question is whether or not they would choose to lie. - Anonymous" I'm an INTj, and yes, I lie very well. -- Anonymous |
C6 To C5. How do we know you are not lying right now? -- Vlad - INTj |
C7 I know, I am an INFP, and I lie compulsively. -- Anonymous |
C8 I voted INTJ, coincidentally, I was with an ENFJ friend of mine in a lie situation and they believed me over him. I just stayed calm while he was nervous and fidgeting, in my opinion ENFJ suck at being liars I don't know why they got so many votes. However yes I do think they lie alot, or at least try to. -- Anonymous |
C9 C8, i don't think your friend is really an ENFj. I have an ENFj friend, and she is the most calm person I've ever known. We are pretty close, and I have never seen she gets nervous or fidgeting. One time she got pulled over by a cop, she sill could fake asthma when asked to take a breath alcohol test. If you don't know an ENFj well, I think it's hard to get what they are really thinking or their true intentions are. -- Anonymous |
C10 i voted estj, but now that I think about it a little more, I think entj would be better. Extraverts might be good at lying because they would be confortable saying what they want in a social situation. Ns would be able to think of creative lies to tell and predict the outcome better than s types. J because J types sound like they have confidence, but entp would probably also be good at lying, especially since they are good at making things up. -- Anonymous |
C11 I vote ESTP because IMO they have no common sense whatsoever. In fact, from the ESTP's I know, they just love to lie and the idea that someone might believe something that's false because of them. So liking to lie that much, they can get pretty good at it since they train a lot. -- Anonymous |
C12 @C7 Hey, it's not about who makes the biggest liar but the best -- Anonymous |
C13 Lots said ENj because they're the actors, but no feeling type can lie as well as a thinking type- they're more prone to guilt. I know an INTj who can lie as easily as she can blink, though. -- INTp me |
C14 INTJ - they're very strategic -- Anonymous |
C15 ESTP are such big liars all the time. ENFJ will lie right in front of your face, but can get away with it sometimes -- joel |
C16 Haha, as an ENTp, I think many people are greatly underestimating the frequency with which ENTp's lie. We practically live in a facade. Unless you make it into the ENTp's intimate circle, they will spoon feed you whatever it is you want to hear in order to charm you into getting what they want. -- ENTp female |
C17 I'd say INTJ. I believe this through experience, being one myself. Lying has been the simplest thing ever for me since childhood. I never got caught. I stopped because it was morally wrong and because it was just so easy, it became boring. But I can look at someone straight in the eye and lie to them. -- Anonymous |
C18 ESTP - for they are such selfish and impulsive people who haven't much sense of moral, their lies flow out naturally in everyday conversations. -- INTP |
C19 I chose ENFJ. Though ENFJ's might not be the best liars, they are definitely the most prone to lying. However, I think that the answer to which type is the BEST liar is situational; it depends on which type is being lied to. Another good question to ask might be "Which type is the best at discerning lies?" -- INTp/J female |
C20 I chose INTJ because they can keep a straight, convincing face. They are calm, calculating, and persuasive. This doesn't mean they are the most frequent liars, though. It depends on a person's morality. I'm just saying that INTJs won't let emotion get in the way. -- reina (ENFP) |
C21 I wonder how many less votes the INTj would get if this site wasn't so heavily populated by them? And why is everyone voting their own personality? Really, are any of us going to believe that we make sucky liars? Personally, I think that the INFj could probably make a good liar. Seriously, just read the name. Empath. -- Anonymous |
C22 I think that ENTPs are the best at coming up with good lies quickly, and they are also generally fairly willing to lie. -- Eli |
C23 I chose ESFp cos they love to embellish though they may not be good at it cos they tend to go overboard and slip up on something obvious and invariably get busted. -- Anonymous |
C24 Some ESTPs will do whatever it takes to get what they want. -- INTJ Jen |
C25 I voted ESFJ because they are the best socially. They are the most manipulative and have the greatest motivation to lie (insecurity). They are also so good looking that you are more likely to fall into the trap of believing what they say as they manipulate you (their confidence). They do it so often that they are the masters, unfortunately. -- Anonymous |
C26 So, ESTP got a lot of votes I think because they lie alot(I have an ESTP friend who morphs the truth constantly to support his frenzied side of the argument). I think ISTJ, not because they lie a lot, but because they have such a strong appeal of integrity and cooperation that if one were to lie, it would be super sorted out and deliberate and taken extremely seriously. They also seem to have a knack for what is appropriate integral composure. -- Hinsoog(INFJ) |
C27 ENTP's extroverted intuition means they can select from reality not provable to most other types, and yet they "know" and can argue that reality to be "true", even if it conflicts with sensory reality. This allows for lying in a way few others can grasp, if need be. -- Anonymous |
C28 i would say that lies are situational and serve differnt purposes. ESTP's can be decietful but i see them failing at overall being the best at lieing considering there fear for failure. a ESTP in a seriouse situation would rather tell the truth and not fail at the task of leing rather then leing and risking the chance of getting caught. i would also say that a INTJ is one of the rarest types to lie. they strongly view the world with logic and are easy to make decisions off of whatever is the most logical and rational concluding that they would not lie but rather logically explain what they did and think that it was the best decsion. i would then think that ENTP's would be good liars in the reasons that they want to get something out of someone and always know what to say to that person rarely actually being honest. i would say as far as manipulation goes a ENTJ would be the best manipulater and can easily lie in a situation where they can see a high reward or achievment for something. i would conclude that the best lying type would have to be a NT and absolutley not a SF considering that to lie you have to be comfortable with breaking ethical and moral codes (something a S or a F would not do) and be able to logical explain your lie otherwise it becomes contradictory and will not be believed. -- ENTJ (the man) |
